Acrylic on canvas framed in American ash

66 cm x 58 cm

Growing up as little girl amongst the pines, my mom would sing the song ‘Georgia On Mind’ by Ray Charles. This was because the first years of my life were lived in Georgia, USA. A fun fact about children born in this southern state is that you inherit the nickname ‘Georgia Peach’ as this American state is famously known for their delicious peaches. The blush tones in this artwork remind of me this memory. Once my mother passed, I played this song over and over whilst I became lost in my paintings.
